-Our clients are the cornerstone of our business. Without our clients, we could not exist. By serving them well, we will also succeed.

-Our clients will receive individualized advice of professional portfolio managers whose philosophy and style of doing business are compatible with their own.

-A successful investment plan must identify long-term financial goals AND a strategy for implementing the plan. A plan without action is merely a dream.

-Our investment strategies are consistent with our clients’ long term goals, circumstances, and risk tolerances.

-Commonwealth Asset Management’s principles, commitment to quality service, and determination to provide comfort and security, in good times and bad, are the foundation of our business.

Commonwealth Asset Management was founded in 1999 by R. Scott Kline , a registered investment advisor with over ten years of securities industry experience. Scott studied Economics and Finance at New York University’s Stern School of Business, and received a B.A. in Economics. Mr. Kline began his investment career during college working on an equity trading desk on Wall Street. Upon moving back to Washington, DC, he began working for a regional investment banking firm, providing complex portfolio analysis to an institutional partnership responsible for managing large corporate 401(k) retirement plans and facilitating the distribution and sale of initial public offerings.

Before founding Commonwealth Asset Management , Scott was a financial advisor with a major global financial services firm in Washington DC, and obtained the Certified Financial Manager designation. Mr. Kline regularly conducts public meetings and seminars on portfolio management and economic/market trends, and has instructed a variety of finance-related courses at local universities. Commonwealth Asset Management currently manages approximately $20 million in client assets.
