STAGE 1 ANALYSIS
Before we chart your financial future, we must take a snapshot of your current
situation. Together, we assess all fundamental criteria, including your investment
goals, time horizon, available resources, liquidity needs, desired rate of return,
and tolerance for risk. This information allows us to determine a specific risk/return
profile, which is the first vital step toward creating an investment strategy custom
fitted to your financial position.
STAGE 2 ASSET ALLOCATION
Over 90% of portfolio performance is determined by asset allocation-the diversification
of resources across multiple asset classes to meet a target level of return at
an acceptable level of risk. This is why we place the asset allocation decision
at the heart of our management system. After we establish your risk/return profile,
we match it to a corresponding asset allocation policy. Your asset allocation
policy determines which of the model portfolios created by our strategists we
use to invest your funds.
STAGE 3 IMPLEMENTATION
Once we arrive at an asset allocation policy consistent with your needs, we match
your profile to one or more of our model portfolios. Typically, we recommend distributing
your assets between model portfolios to minimize your exposure to risk and to
take advantage of market fluctuations within the various asset classes. To meet
your goals, Commonwealth Asset Management will follow proven investment techniques
in the day-to-day management of your assets to maximize returns and minimize risk
within each market sector. We accomplish this by analyzing the economy, financial
markets, and specific sectors and securities. Based on this analysis, our defined
investment philosophy, and your specific goals, we will purchase and sell securities
we deem appropriate. Our portfolio managers will systematically build and maintain
diversified client portfolios by investing the assets across various industries,
sectors, maturities, and issues. This professional, full-time attention is a prudent
approach to investing-an approach valued by ALL investors.
STAGE 4 MONITOR AND REVIEW
Market forces continually impact the underlying value of the asset classes in
your portfolio. Commonwealth Asset Management will analyze these market shifts
to periodically rebalance the model portfolio. As your advisor, we constantly
monitor the relative value of the asset classes, and the specific composition
of your portfolio. This ensures that your portfolio properly reflects your asset
allocation policy and is consistent with your long term financial goals. Because
we are an independent firm and handle a limited number of clients, you can rest
assured YOUR unique needs and goals will always come first and receive constant
professional oversight.
